Stanley Ziel
Southeast Regional Coordinator
Stanley Ziel became a cement mason more than 11 years ago, calling it “One of the best decisions I ever made in my life.” He went on to serve as an instructor with the National Plastering Industry’s Joint Apprenticeship Trust Fund for four years and was named Southeast Regional Coordinator over one year ago. “When I started my life as a instructor with Job Corps, it was a great opportunity for me,” he said. “I always wanted to be involved with struggling youth, as I was once in a lot of their shoes as well. I look at each student and try to find ways to reach them. After four years of being an instructor I was blessed with the opportunity to become the Southeast Field Coordinator for the NPIJATF/OPCMIA. I was eager to take on this role and have been greatly honored to have the title and wish continued success.”

Samuel Gillis
Plastering Instructor
Samuel Gillis is a 1995 graduate of the Woodstock Job Corps Center. He has worked as an OPCMIA apprentice and journeyman plasterer since 1997. Joining the Turner Job Corps Center this year, “Opened a new chapter in my life that I never imagined beyond my wildest dreams,” he said. “It brought me an enormous amount of prestige to become a professional educator. This is a source of great confidence and pride.”
